ROY M. BALLARD - Heart Transplant -May, 2004

Roy_BallardI sarted having heart problems in 1991. I had two heart attacks and then a quadruple by-pass. I progressively deteriorated with numerous bouts of congestive heart failure.

My doctor placed me on the transplant list in 2001. On May 12th, 2003 I received a Left Ventricular Assist Device.

The LVAD allowed me to regain enough strength to be transplanted. I received my heart on May 12th, 2004. I have done well since then.

Every day I become just a little stronger. I am slowly resuming the life I had prior to Heart Failure.
